Ahead of the Airport, Epe's Small Businesses Are Already Repositioning
Guesthouses, transport operators and food vendors are betting on a construction workforce that has not fully arrived.

Guesthouse operators in Epe town report near-full occupancy on weekdays, driven by engineering and survey teams working on corridor projects.
Several traders have expanded into catering and laundry services aimed at contractor camps, while transport unions have added shuttle runs to the airport site road.
Not everyone is convinced the boom will hold. Landlords have raised rents ahead of demand, and some new guesthouses stand half-occupied outside peak weeks.
Local government officials say a business support desk will open to help informal operators formalise and bid for contractor service tenders.
