Epe Marina and Waterfront Masterplan Unveiled
A promenade, jetty upgrades and a regatta arena anchor the state's tourism plan for the lagoon front.

The Lagos State tourism ministry has unveiled a masterplan for the Epe marina and waterfront, covering a lagoon-side promenade, upgraded passenger jetties and a purpose-built regatta arena.
The plan divides the waterfront into three zones: a working jetty area for fishing and ferry traffic, a public promenade with market stalls, and an eco-tourism reserve at the mangrove edge.
Planners say existing fishing operations keep their berths, a point fishing associations had raised in consultation sessions.
Implementation is phased over four years, beginning with shoreline protection works that must precede any building along the water's edge.
