Corridor Population Projections Force a Rethink of Service Planning

Revised population projections for the Epe, Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa corridor have pushed planners to raise targets for schools, primary clinics and water connections.

The projections assume employment growth around the port, refinery and free zone estates draws sustained in-migration through the decade.

Officials acknowledge that service delivery has trailed land allocation on the corridor, with subdivisions approved ahead of the networks meant to serve them.

The planning office says future scheme approvals will be tied to infrastructure sequencing commitments.
