State Delivers First Affordable Housing Blocks in the Epe Scheme
Two hundred units are handed over under a rent-to-own arrangement aimed at corridor workers.
By Tunde Ogunsola · 20 June 2024 · Epe
The first 200 units of the Epe affordable housing scheme have been handed over under a rent-to-own arrangement targeted at workers in the corridor's industrial estates.
Allocations were drawn from a registered applicant pool, with priority weighting for applicants already employed or resident in Epe and Ibeju-Lekki.
Applicants have asked for clarity on what happens to accumulated payments if employment ends before the term completes.
Further blocks are scheduled as site infrastructure — roads, water reticulation and a substation — is completed.
