Ikorodu–Epe Road Rehabilitation Reaches Agbowa Section
The inland route carrying farm produce into Lagos is being rebuilt after years of failure at its mid-section.

Rehabilitation of the Ikorodu–Epe road has reached the Agbowa section, where years of pavement failure had cut journey speeds to walking pace during the rains.
The route is the main artery for farm produce moving from the Epe hinterland and Ikorodu North into Lagos markets, and traders say haulage costs have tracked the road's condition closely.
Engineers are reconstructing the failed sub-base rather than overlaying it, a slower approach that the ministry says is necessary given the heavy axle loads the road carries.
Farm cooperatives have asked for laybys at the Agbowa and Itoikin produce points, where trucks currently load from the carriageway.
